Last season we had Tapas on the menu and during the closed season, we decided to experiment more with our menus. When creating our new menu for this summer season we began asking our customers if they would like to see Tapas are back on the menu…and of course, the answer was a resounding “YES”.

Of course, we are happy to oblige. We are already known not only as a Wine bar & Restaurant but also for our Tapas. Therefore, we have listened to our customers and acted accordingly.

To be honest it was not a hard decision. We fell in love with Tapas and Petiscos many moons ago when we first ventured to Spain & Portugal, and the love affair has continued since.

We have been working with our kitchen team over the past little while developing some new tapas, while offering many of our popular favourites, including Gambas Pil Pil, Patatas Bravas, Crab Claws & Bruschetta!

This is not our first foray into tapas and we have already been successful with tapas. Now…wait we know that some of you well traveled purists will simply say, “Yes your tapas are lovely, but are they truly Spanish” and we simply acknowledge that we have developed our tapas using the best local (& many Mediterranean) ingredients to offer a range of Tapas with an Irish Twist. We look to infuse the Mediterranean spirit/ essence into what we do as opposed to directly replicating it. Tapas with an Irish Twist!! Yes, we are guilty as charged, but let there be no guilt in the pleasure of the flavours on offer!! All this combined with a full Dinner Menu and a large variety of wines (many Spanish) that we have on offer…..Oh the Vino…

At this point you might say that the link between Ireland and Spain is a little tenuous, but rest assured during the Middle Ages trade links between Spain and Ireland flourished. Iron and wine were shipped to Ireland and hides and fish to Spain. To this day one of the largest consumers of Irish Fish are the Spanish.…but as we say in Gaelic…….Sin Scéal Eile
